UPDATE: What first started out as a reported child abduction, ends up with a one-year-old back with the father.
Janesville Police say the dad got back to his home in the 100 block of Apple Drive after 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning to find his child missing. 27-year-old Bianca McLaughlin, the child’s mother who has no parental rights, had been watching the child overnight while the dad was at work. Police later found and arrested McLaughlin at another home in Janesville.
Police also charged the baby’s grandmother, 52-year-old Linda McLaughlin, with obstructing a police officer because authorities say she lied to them about Bianca’s whereabouts.

Police sent out an alert just before 9 a.m. that the mother, Bianca McLaughlin, had taken the one-year-child overnight from a home on the city’s west side. She had allegedly taken the child in the father’s vehicle.
