A Corpus Christi mother was indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday on charges that she kidnapped two children, according to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice.
Jada Gregg Warren, 32, is accused of kidnapping both of her biological children from their foster home. She lost parental rights in November 2014.
The children were reported missing Aug. 20, according to the release. Warren, who had allegedly made statements about committing the act days before the incident, was arrested Dec. 16 in Mexico. Both of her children were with her.
If Warren is convicted, she faces a minimum of 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
