HIGH POINT — A five-year-old girl from High Point is safe after being abducted Saturday night.
Now police say, they are searching for that girl’s mother.
Sara Ann Fudge, 26, is wanted on a felony child abduction charge, a news release from the High Point Police Department stated.
Fudge, who has limited contact with her daughter, made arrangements Sunday morning to return the 5-year-old to her custodian, officers said, but she’s still wanted by police.
Fudge visited the 5-year-old girl Saturday night at her custodian’s house in the 1200-block of Carter Street.
Officers said without permission, Fudge left the custodian’s house with her daughter leaving behind her daughter’s needed EpiPen for severe allergies.
Fudge was spotted with her daughter early Sunday morning at the Townhouse Inn located at 400 South Main Street in High Point.
Police said the mother tried to rent a room but had insufficient funds.
Officers said Fudge left on foot wearing black pants and a black sweater.
A further description of Fudge wasn’t available but police provided a photograph of Fudge.
Police asks anyone with information about Fudge’s whereabouts to contact the High Point Police Department at (336) 883-3224 or Crimestoppers of High Point at (336) 889-4000.
